Gretsch 6163 "Executive" amp for sale, made by "Victoria Amps" this tube guitar amplifier is all hand wired, all tube, a real clean tone monster. These amps are no longer made or sold from Gretsch, and are almost impossible to find now.
The amp has 'normal' and 'bright' input jacks, tube driven Tremolo (5AR4) that is among the nicest, warmest Tremolo sounds you'll find in any amp, it's the closest thing I've heard next to an actual 1962 Tremolux amp I've owned in the past. Long spring reverb, two 6V6 power tubes, a 5AR4 Tremolo rectifier tube, two 12AT7 and three 12AX7 tubes (all tubes were replaced with new Tung Sol reissues shortly after I got the amp, as well as replaced the foot switch within the last year. The amp has a single 15" Eminence "Legend" speaker, Treble, Mid, Bass, Volume, Reverb, Intensity and Speed controls for the Tremolo, Power and Run/Standby switches.
I removed the original burgundy vinyl covering from the front cover, and replaced it with seafoam green coloured vinyl, but I still have the original vinyl cover if the new owner ever wanted to bring it back to the 100% original look (also have a bunch of the surf green vinyl I'll throw in for repairs/replacement of the cover that is on it now, if you wanted to recover the face again at some point etc.).
It has a vintage Fender style footswitch to turn the Tremolo and Reverb on and off remotely. Currently has 4 smaller caster wheels on the bottom for ease of moving around on smooth floors etc. I've also installed a Dr.Z Brake Lite in the amp, this is an attenuator that allows you to get the tone of the amp running at higher power, with lower overall volume output, great for smaller shows or practice at home.
Details on the size are 50 lbs. and 26"W x 24"H x 11"D, about the size of a Fender 59' Bassman amp.

I love this amp, and hate to have to part with it, the only reason it is for sale is so I can purchase a larger vintage head and cab style amp.
No lowball offers or trades please, I know how rare these amps are, how great they are, and will not accept any low offers or trades, period. I've had plenty of good comments and compliments when this amp has left the house on the look and tone of this amp from many people, it's a fantastic looking and sounding amp, you won't be dissapointed.
It has been played for live shows and sets sparingly, but when at home it sits in my rehearsal room, where I use a small Fender mustang amp for rehearsal, so it hasn't had a ton of use in my time owning it, only used for when it counts I suppose.
Must sell asap, grab this rare and fantastic vintage style amp while you can, you likely won't see another for sale in a very long time, if at all.
