Candidate must demonstrate proven leadership skills and effectively manage the area of responsibility through retail partnership, with the mandate of coaching and development of multiple District Loss Prevention Supervisors within the business unit. Focus on standard operating procedures and providing loss prevention expertise while supporting departmental goals and financial objectives. The colleague will act as primary liaison for the vice presidents of retail operations for the respective store formats while supporting business initiatives in reducing total loss.
? Develop field staff to be more focused on all causes of loss and the impact on overall financial results. Primary areas of focus include but are not limited to internal/external theft, paper shrink, pre-inventory review process, regulatory compliance to standard operation procedures and cost control
? Ensure ongoing recruitment coaching, mentoring, training and development of staff with an emphasis on individual development and team orientation
? Proactively approach staff issues, provide ongoing feedback, conduct performance reviews and foster a positive work relationship amongst all levels of the organization
? Directly responsible for managing multiple Loss Prevention Supervisor(s)
? Ensure execution of Loss Prevention programs though field management
? Provide loss prevention expertise, recommendations and solutions to all clients in a timely and proactive fashion to drive value and bottom line financial results
? Ensure that investigations, interviews and LP audits are completed by staff as required
? Supports District Loss Prevention Supervisors in ensuring preventive maintenance schedule is followed and all systems are fully operational at all times
? Monitor compliance to national policies and procedures within the respective business units
? Ensure that the needs of all internal and external customers are met in timely fashion
? Participate in retail management meetings and play an active role in promoting Loss Prevention objectives and initiatives
? Analyze key financial data to identify loss reduction opportunities and participate in development and follow up of action plans
? Network with other retailers, vendors and law enforcement to stay current on best practices, new technology and industry trends

? Minimum 3-5 years experience in a supervisory capacity in retail loss prevention environment
? Knowledge and understanding of Company Policies, Procedures and Standards
? Knowledge of legislative requirements including: Criminal Code of Canada, Citizens Powers of Arrest, Collective Agreements, Trespass to Property Act and Health and Safety
? Knowledge and understanding of loss prevention technologies and hardware
? Strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to effectively manage business relationships internally and externally
